Prayer

Prayer is the swiftest cable known, And longest, reaching to God's throne. It is a flame of heaven-born light To flash a clear way to our sight. Prayer is the Christian's telescope To scan the star-strewn sky of hope. It is the prism through which we view God's color scheme for me and you. Prayer is the lever for each hour, To move the arm of Mighty Power. The drafts for all this wealth we take Bear e'er this seal, "For Jesus' Sake." How oft we lose, unarmed by prayer! No battle wanes when God is there!
