SHALES.—Gladine Shales died in her eighty-seventh year, at the home of her granddaughter, in Grand Rapids, Mich. About thirty years ago she embraced present truth, and remained faithful until death. We laid her to rest, believing that she will arise in the first resurrection.
C. A. HANSEN.
MARIS.—Naoma Maris, daughter of W. B. and Hattie Maris, was born Sept. 13, 1904, at Barry, Ill., and met death by scalding, Dec. 26, 1911, at Tahlequah, Okla. Naoma loved the Lord, and we believe that if we are faithful she will be restored to our arms when the Life-giver comes. Words of comfort were spoken by Elder Leslie Littell, from Acts 24:14, 15.
