Within the Fort of Lion

By Worthie Harris Holden

WORTHIE HARRIS HOLDEN
STRONG stands the Fort of Lion, Built on the Rock of Might; Safely within abiding, Valiant her soldiers fight.
Reared by Jehovah's wisdom, None 'gainst his fort prevail; Fiercer the battle wages, Yet the assaults must fail.
Risk not thy soul to venture, E'en to attack the foe, Ever beyond the threshold, Lest arrows lay thee low.
Fight with the will to conquer, Firm in the strength of Heaven; Soon shall the victor's laurels Unto the brave be given.
