MR. ALBERT BARNES of Philadelphia. was right, no doubt, when he said the American churches were the bulwarks of slavery, and there was no power out of the church which could sustain slavery one hour if it were not sustained in it. What fearful responsibility, then, rests upon these pro-slavery churches, Missionary boards and national institutions! Come out, beloved one, come out.
