Worthy of Thought.

In a brief address delivered by Wong Sing, Vice Consul, at the anniversary of the Chinese Mission School, this thought was advanced: The Chinese nation is very old. God has preserved and perpetuated its existence. Why, since it is a heathen nation?
The Chinese people have always kept the fifth commandment, which is the first with promise. They are taught from childhood to honor their parents. They never fail to reverence and obey them. Doing so, God has promised that their days shall be long upon the land which he has given them.—S. F. Advocate.
