Ministry While Traveling West
By T. E. Thorp
Bro. Smith: I take this opportunity to write a few lines to you in haste. I am on my way West. This morning I am at Dunkirk, and expect to leave to-day for Buffalo. While on my way here I stopped at Olean a few days where the Lord opened the way for me to hold a meeting, and I trust it has had a good effect. I talked to them on the signs of the times, and they seemed to be interested in the subject. After meeting, one man subscribed for the paper; another came and wanted a copy of the Review and of course I let him have it. I would say to the saints scattered abroad that I am still striving to overcome through the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony. I love to meet with God's dear saints now, and I want to dwell with them in his kingdom. T. E. Thorp. Dunkirk, N. Y. July 29th, 1857.
