Faithfulness and the Coming of Christ

From Bro. Martin.

Bro. Smith: I would say to the praise of God that I am yet numbered with the living. I do desire to thank my heavenly Father that I have a hope to-day that I am one of his children, although I feel unworthy. I still believe that we have the truth. I also believe that "My Bible leads to glory."
I am still pleased with the Review. It is all the preaching we have. I have not heard a sermon since the meeting at Washington last Fall. I have been much pleased with the plain dealing of Brn. White, Waggoner and Clark. That is what I like. The Lord help them and others to be faithful.
I greatly fear that some of the brethren have their affections too much on the things of this world. May the Lord help them to cut loose from it, and help forward the cause of God, and remember that covetousness is idolatry. May he give us all a spirit of faithfulness, and preserve us blameless unto his coming. LEWIS MARTIN. Bennington, N. H., June 1st, 1858.
