WE WOULD NOT COMPLAIN.

In the hour of affliction, of sorrow and pain, Our hearts would not murmur, they would not complain; But seeking submission to God's righteous will, We would, though he chasten, delight in him still.
Though the dearest forsake us, and loved ones deride, In Jesus we'll trust, in his promise confide. He will not take from us his Spirit of love. But by it prepare us for mansions above.
There freed from all sorrow, and sickness and pain, As kings and as priests evermore we shall reign, We'll bow at his feet as in rapture we sing, All glory, all honor, to Jesus our king.
