Comfort in Bereavement

Sister L. Parmenter writes from Rochester, Mich.:
"I can say to brother Allen, my heart feels his woes. I can weep with those that weep. His lines called to mind the scenes that I have passed through. Death, the cruel spoiler, has taken from us three children, a son and two daughters. O how bitter was the pang! How our hearts were rent! But Jesus says, Come unto me all ye weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. How sweet it is that there is one that can give us rest. We must come with faith and a humble heart, and he will clear away the dark clouds that gather over us.
"Though lonesome is my dwelling-place, My children gone from me, If Jesus shows his smiling face How cheerful I shall be."
