Camp-Meeting at Salem, Oregon.

OUR excellent Camp-meeting closed on Tuesday morning, July 1st. We had most beautiful weather throughout. Nearly all the brethren and sisters in the Valley were at this meeting. The meeting opened on Wednesday evening, June 25, with a discourse by Eld. Haskell, from Zeph. 2:1-3. The meetings all through were very good, but on Sabbath the melting Spirit of God came in and there was a general breaking down, and nearly thirty came forward for prayers, the greater portion of whom were making a start for the first time. On Sunday there were nearly two thousand people on the ground. Good attention was paid to the word spoken. On Monday a Temperance meeting was held, and nearly all present signed the teetotal pledge. Eld. A. T. Jones was unanimously elected delegate to the Oregon State Temperance Alliance.
The following resolutions were adopted during the meeting:—

ON SABBATH-SCHOOL WORK.

Resolved, That we will adopt the plan of conducting Sabbath-schools as recommended by the General Sabbath-school Association, also that we as churches or companies deem it a duty that we owe to God and to our children to make the Sabbath-school work of more importance; and as a means to carry it on effectually we will adopt the Weekly Instructor lessons, and the Books for Infant Classes.

ON REVIEW AND HERALD AND GOOD HEALTH.

Whereas, The Review and Herald is our church paper adapted to the wants of every Seventh-day Adventist,
And whereas, The Good Health imparts the information that we need on the subject of Health Reform, therefore
Resolved, That we believe it to be for the best interests of each family of those who profess present truth to subscribe for these periodicals, for their own use, and we hereby pledge ourselves to use every effort to accomplish this result, and where members are too poor to pay for them themselves, we recommend that the church to which they belong help them to obtain them.

ON SIGNS OF THE TIMES.

Whereas, The SIGNS OF THE TIMES is our pioneer paper, to be used for missionary purposes, and much good is being accomplished by active Vigilant Missionary Societies, therefore
Resolved, That we will from this time forward seek to establish them in each church as far as possible, and subscribe for the SIGNS in clubs to be used in this manner.
We are greatly in hopes that this will lead to a revival of the Tract and Missionary work in this Valley; and we feel very grateful to God for the good counsel and instruction that Eld. Haskell has given us, and many prayers ascend to our Father, for him, and that He will give him safe conduct on his journey to other fields.
