Death of E. G. Greenfield

Mrs. A. C. Greenfield writes from Stockton, California, Jan. 1860: “MR. SMITH, Sir, the Review, through the agency of a kind friend, found its way to our distant abode, and was a very welcome visitor, and great source of comfort to my husband; but he has need of it no longer. He was a believer in its doctrines. It cheered many an hour that would otherwise have been gloomy during his long illness. Mr. E. G. Greenfield (many of your readers will know the name) died the 12th of Nov. last, aged 59 years. His disease was consumption. He was a very great sufferer for nearly six years, being confined to the house most of the time. For about three years he was a resident of New York.”
