Death of Newman P. Rathbun

DIED in Seneca, Crawford Co., Wis., June 23, 1860, Newman P. Rathbun, youngest son of Bro. W. and Sr. Mary Rathbun, aged four years, five months and seven days. He was a lovely boy, and his loss is deeply deplored. Like the grass which falls beneath the scythe, he fell a victim to that dreadful disease, scarlet fever. A discourse was given from 2 Sam. xiv, 14, by the writer.
His parents have confidence that he will return again to his own border; therefore they mourn not as those who have no hope. Jno. Bostwick.
