OBITUARY.

Our dear brother, Thomas B. Mead, fell asleep in Jesus at Wawkon, Iowa, July 26, 1861, aged nearly 34 years. His disease was consumption.
He was among the first who embraced the third message in New Hampshire, and was ever true to the cause till his death. Bro. Mead leaves a wife and daughter to mourn his loss. He was an affectionate husband and father, a beloved disciple in the estimation of all true christians who knew him, and an example of piety before the world. Our bereaved sister Mead says in a letter, Aug. 3:
"His mind was very clear during his last sickness. He was confined to his bed about one week. His last testimony was All is well. He felt that his work was done, and that the Lord accepted him."
Nobly he battled in the christian warfare till the last, and he came down to the grave like a man of God. "Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord."
JAMES WHITE.
