“Then they that feared the Lord, spake often one to another.”

From Sister Camp.

Bro. Smith: I desire to say a few words to the lonely and afflicted ones, as I feel that I know in some measure how to sympathize with them, being myself lonely and afflicted. I often sigh for the society of those of like faith; but being deprived, perhaps I prize more highly, and seek more earnestly, the favor of Him whose favor is life, and whose loving-kindness is better than life, and who is a present help in every time of need. I adore the infinite goodness and mercy of our God in stooping so low as to be a Father to such as we; but so it is, ye lonely and afflicted ones, for whom I often weep in secret places. May the Lord help us fully to trust in him, casting all our care and burden on him, knowing that he careth for us and will sustain us. He knoweth our frame, he remembereth that we are but dust. And as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. May we so abide in him and have his word abide in us, that we may ask what we will and it shall be done unto us.
