UNION OF THE SECTS.

DISCIPLE ELDER. Our meetings are all free. We unite in the revival with all denominations.

OBSERVER. Did I not once hear you say that infant sprinkling was a mockery, and wholly unscriptural?

D. E. Yes, I believe that immersion is baptism.

O. How then could you unite with the Methodist Elder in his discourse on baptism?

D. E. I had no fellowship with it.

O. Do you believe that the scriptural mode of baptism, immersion, is the only true mode?

D. E. I do, and I cannot see how any one can hope for salvation who varies from this.

O. In what then consisted the union?

D. E. Oh, Well, we — we —
