MONTHLY MEETINGS.

By Joseph Bates

At the last monthly meeting of the church in Monterey, it was voted that the four churches of Monterey, Allegan, Watson and Pine Creek, be invited to meet together once a month, alternately.
The first meeting at Allegan, Sabbath, June the 7th, was encouraging and cheering. Those that came from the different churches, seemed decidedly in favor of the measure. As many as could conveniently stay, participated in the ordinances of the Lord's house in the evening, and received a special blessing from the Lord. Praise his holy name.
At this meeting it was decided to hold the monthly meetings on the second Sabbath of each month; and that the next meeting be at Monterey, on the second Sabbath in July. JOSEPH BATES.
