The Beatitude of the Christian

Most of all, I wish the happiness of a contented spirit, the calm rapture of being able to accept life's crosses without bitterness and its crowns without vanity, greeting each new day with a cheer, believing in the Father's house at the end of the road, and his rewarding smile. This is the beatitude of the Christian.—George Clark Peck.
