The Quarterly Meeting

At Lovetts Grove on the 16th and 17th of April, was well attended by brethren and sisters living in the vicinity, and a good degree of freedom was felt by all. The state of the roads being excessively bad, few came in from a distance. Still the Brn. Kittle from Cass and Arcadia, and Bro. Emmons from Leipsic, and Bro. Ramsay, from Michigan were present.
All expressed themselves much strengthened and encouraged. This was the last meeting of this kind for the conference year; and we rejoice to say that the first series of quarterly meetings in this State, although sustained by the lay members, has been signally blessed of God. Commenced in much weakness, and with fear and trembling, yet we realize that we have had the smile and approbation of God, in this (to us) new and untried path at every step. To him be all the glory.
