RECIPE FOR PREJUDICE.

Shut yourself up in the closet of private meditation, and when your passions are subsided, and your mind is in a right state, then send your faithful servant prayer, up to the closet of never-failing wisdom, and obtain three ounces of pure wisdom; two ounces of the essence of true love; two ounces of the pure oil of grace; and the same amount of the clear spirit of charity. Put these into a vessel of good will to all, well shaken by the hand of caution; then turn twenty drops into the spoon of common sense, and take them with feelings of impartiality, and you will certainly be cured.
