THESE beautiful lines of James Montgomery have often been published with alterations. The following we are assured is the complete and unaltered reading of the hymn. Familiar as the lines must be to most of our readers, they are nevertheless so scriptural, chastened and elevated in their tone and spirit, that like the New Testament writings, they do not tire with repetition, but continually disclose new beauties of sentiment and feeling.—Register.
