Hosea 7:1
When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without. When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without.
When God would have healed Israel, the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered and the wickedness of Samaria was exposed. The uncovering laid bare the sin and corruption at work among the people. That sin and corruption stood in the way, so that the healing God sought to give could not proceed.
