Micah 2:1
Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand. Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.
The woe falls on those who contrive wrongdoing in private while upon their beds by night and then put their evil designs into practice openly when morning light comes, because it lies within the power of their hand to do so. This night-plotting followed by daylight execution is the course of opposers of God's truth. Their plotting is aimed at putting down the truth and at turning minds away from the precious, all-important truth by getting up something new to interest the people and divert them. This warning stands among the Old Testament prophecies of judgment and desolation whose scenes are soon to be witnessed and fulfilled in the last days.
