Does the Chinese Zodiac Interlink With the Bible?

Does the Bible recognize the zodiac signs as divine or deceptive?

The Chinese zodiac could certainly interlink with the Bible in some ways. They do talk about dragons which likely did exist, I doubt they would have 11 real animals and 1 mythical one. It can’t all be completely pagan rubbish, I am sure zodiacs have some form of foundation and logical substance to them that could actually logically interlink with the Bible in some areas.

The zodiac and its astrological practices do not interlink with the teachings of the Bible, as the Scriptures identify astrology as paganism and completely contrary to God's truth. While it is an interesting thought to try and connect these ancient cultural calendars with biblical history, the Word of God provides a very clear and distinct understanding of both the constellations and the symbol of the dragon.

🌟 The Biblical Purpose of the Stars

  • God indeed created the stars and the constellations, including the twelve signs known in Scripture as Mazzaroth, which refers to the zodiac Job 38:32.

  • Their true, divine purpose is to serve as lights in the firmament, to divide the day from the night, and to mark signs, seasons, days, and years Genesis 1:14.

  • However, humanity corrupted this beautiful creation by turning the observation of the heavens into astrology, fortune-telling, and mysticism.

  • Any religious or mystical system based on astrology is a form of pagan idolatry, which the Bible reveals is disguised demon worship that completely opposes the Gospel.

🐉 The True Identity of the Dragon

  • In the Bible, the dragon is not a literal, biological animal that existed in nature alongside tigers and oxen, but rather a profound prophetic symbol.

  • Primarily, the dragon represents Satan, that old serpent and devil, who deceives the whole world Revelation 12:9.

  • In a secondary, political sense, the dragon symbolizes the empire of Pagan Rome, the earthly power Satan used to try to destroy the Christ child as soon as He was born Revelation 12:4.

  • Eastern cultural myths, such as finding a "dragon side" or a "tiger side" for the placement of graves in geomancy, are deeply rooted in superstition and paganism rather than historical zoology.

Satan often clothes false theories in very attractive and logical-seeming garbs to subtly turn human minds away from the plain Word of God. Therefore, while the constellations are a real and magnificent part of God's creation, the astrological zodiac and the mythological dragon belong to systems of deception that are entirely separate from the pure light of biblical truth.
