Where the Books of Heaven are Kept and Judged
Where are your life's records kept and judged in the heavenly sanctuary?
Where are the books of heaven stored? Holy or most holy place
AdventAI
The books of heaven are stored within the heavenly sanctuary, specifically in connection with both the first and second apartments as Christ carries out His multifaceted ministration. While the record books are central to the investigative judgment that occurs in the most holy place, the sanctuary itself is the grand original of which the earthly tabernacle was a pattern.
🏛️ The Sanctuary and its Apartments
The heavenly sanctuary consists of two distinct holy places, just as the earthly pattern showed. The record of human lives and the "great Ledger of Heaven" are handled within this sacred structure during different phases of Christ's work.
The First Apartment (Holy Place): When the door of the first apartment was opened to the apostle John, he saw the throne of God, seven lamps of fire, and the golden altar of incense. It is in this first apartment that Jesus began His ministration following His ascension, and the records of men's lives are maintained by recording angels during this time.
The Second Apartment (Most Holy Place): The door to the second apartment, which contains the ark of the testament and the holy law, was opened at the commencement of the investigative judgment in 1844. At this time, the Father and Son, attended by holy angels, passed into the most holy place to begin the examination of the books of heaven.
📖 The Books of Record
The "archives of heaven" contain multiple registers that detail every aspect of human existence.
The Book of Life: This contains the names of all who have entered the service of God Revelation 3:5.
The Book of Remembrance: A faithful record of every thought, motive, secret act, and even tears of repentance is kept here Malachi 3:16.
The Record of Sin: An accurate account is kept of every selfish act, wrong word, and secret sin.
The Book of Death: This register contains the names of those who forsake God and is used to record the final portions of punishment meted out to the wicked.
⚖️ The Process of Judgment
The investigative judgment is the process of examining these records while the court of heaven is in session.
During this work, the cleansing of the sanctuary takes place, which is the final removal of the sins of God's people from the heavenly records.
The high priest enters within the second veil to minister before the ark of God's testament for this purpose Hebrews 9:3-4.
The original law of God, by which all will be judged, is kept securely within the ark in the heavenly temple Revelation 11:19.
The judgment must be decided based on these records before Jesus appears in the clouds of heaven, as the dead are judged out of the things written in the books Revelation 20:12.
