Understanding Hebrews 1:1-2: Christ as God's Ultimate Message
How did Jesus Christ win back the kingdom lost by the first Adam?
Please explain: “God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds” (Hebrews 1:1, 2, NKJV).

Hebrews 1:1-2 reveals that Jesus Christ is the ultimate communication of God’s will, the Creator of the universe, and the rightful heir of all things who has restored the link between heaven and earth. 🌟
God Spoke Through the Prophets
In ancient times, God communicated His purposes through various messengers and methods. The "fathers" of the faith, such as Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, received promises regarding an immortal inheritance and were guided by the Lord through these prophetic revelations. This divine instruction was given through the oracles of God, which were committed to His people to be made known to the world Romans 3:1-2. These prophets were often "hunted" and "afflicted," yet they faithfully uttered the word of the Lord at the peril of their lives. Their messages served as a light in moral darkness, pointing forward to the salvation that would be revealed in the final times 1 Peter 1:10-11.
Spoken to Us by His Son
In these last days, God has spoken most clearly through His Son, Jesus Christ, who is the express image of the invisible God. Christ did not merely bring a message; He was the Word made flesh, the divine Teacher sent to reveal the Father’s character to humanity John 1:1, 14.
Unity with the Father: From all eternity, Christ was one with the Father, a distinct person yet sharing the same glory.
The Mediator: By clothing His divinity with humanity, He became the ladder connecting earth to heaven, allowing communication to be reopened between God and man.
The Representative: Christ alone was sufficient to represent the Deity, living a life of perfect submission to show us the Father’s love John 14:9.
Appointed Heir of All Things
Jesus Christ is the rightful heir of the entire world, both by divine appointment and by right of purchase. While the first Adam lost his inheritance through disobedience, the "second Adam" won the kingdom back by His perfect obedience to the law.
Purchased Possession: By bearing the curse of sin on the cross, Christ bought back the technical and usurped claim held by Satan.
Ruler and King: He is the Messiah, the Prince of Peace, who will one day sit upon the throne of David to reign forever Isaiah 9:7.
Joint-Heirs: Those who believe in Him are adopted as His brothers and sisters, becoming joint-heirs with Christ to an immortal inheritance Galatians 3:29.
Through Whom He Made the Worlds
The Son was the active agent in the creation of all things; nothing exists that was not made by Him John 1:3.
The Source of Life: In Him was life, and that life became the light of men.
Sustainer of Nature: He is not only the Creator but also the Sustainer, as nature is the servant of its Creator and testifies of His active agency.
Divine Authority: Because He prepared the heavens and set a compass upon the face of the depth, He was worthy to receive the adoring homage of the angelic host as His right Proverbs 8:22-27.
Through this complete work of creation and redemption, Christ has made it possible for us to be restored to fellowship with God and to one day inherit the better, heavenly country prepared for the faithful Hebrews 11:16. 🌈
