Hello! It is a pleasure to help you dive into this week's study, "Reality Check." This lesson is a powerful call to examine the heart and renew our connection with the Savior. 📖✨

Sabbath: A Call for Self-Examination

The focus of our study begins with an invitation to look honestly at the vibrancy of our personal relationship with God. We are encouraged to consider if our lives are defined by an active investment in His Word and prayer or if we have drifted into a "lukewarm" state Revelation 3:16. Angels look upon us with interest, observing whether we possess a true hunger for God that compels us to share His love with others. Spiritual growth is only possible when we assess our current state and follow the divine solutions provided by Jesus.

Sunday: Our Spiritual Condition

Jesus identifies Himself as the "Faithful and True Witness" to provide a perfect assessment of our spiritual state in these last days Revelation 3:14. He describes a condition of dangerous self-sufficiency where we may feel rich and in need of nothing while being spiritually wretched, poor, and blind Revelation 3:17. This apathy is so distasteful to God that He warns He will "spew" the lukewarm out of His mouth Revelation 3:16. However, He offers a divine exchange: we can buy His gold of faith and love, His white garments of righteousness, and His eyesalve for spiritual discernment Revelation 3:18.

Monday: Rebuke, Repent, and Reward

God’s rebukes are not meant to discourage us but are expressions of His deep, yearning love Revelation 3:19. He stands at the door of the heart, knocking through every warning, reproof, and blessing, waiting for a voluntary response to enter. To receive Him, we must hear His voice and clear away the "rubbish" of pride, envy, and worldliness that bars the door. When we open the heart, we are promised an abiding connection that will make every earthly trial seem insignificant in the light of eternity.

Tuesday: God’s Everlasting Love

The overarching story of the Bible is God's pursuit of a covenant relationship with His children Jeremiah 31:3. From walking with Adam in Eden to Enoch’s close communion, God has always sought to be near us Genesis 3:8. He governs history and our personal lives through an all-encompassing providence that seeks to restore us to His image. While He is constantly drawing us with loving-kindness, the responsibility to overcome our own self-sufficiency remains an individual choice.

Wednesday: Abiding in the Vine

Jesus uses the metaphor of the Vine and the branches to show our total dependence on Him for spiritual life John 15:1-5. Abiding in Christ means a life of unreserved surrender and a constant receiving of His Spirit. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit by itself, we cannot subdue a single sin or resist temptation without a living connection to the Savior John 15:4. Keeping His commandments is our joyful response to His love, leading to a character that reflects His own humility and gentleness John 15:10.

Thursday: Linked by the Holy Spirit

Abiding is not a matter of religious drudgery or external rules but a heart-centered relationship initiated by God’s choice. The Holy Spirit is the essential "sap" that flows from the Vine into our souls, providing the life-giving power we need to grow. We must daily ask for this Spirit to be our Comforter, to convict us of sin, and to guide us into all truth John 14:16. This divine indwelling transforms our nature and enables us to be "vessels unto honor," fit for the Master's use.

Friday: Living the Transformed Life

A vibrant spiritual life requires a daily, fiber-by-fiber connection to Jesus Christ. We are called to "die to self" every hour, allowing the Holy Spirit to refine our characters and elevate our thoughts. By beholding the matchless charms of Jesus and the sacrifice of the cross, we are changed into His image and find the peace that the world cannot give. This preparation allows us to stand in the great day of God, clothed in the white robe of Christ’s righteousness.

I hope this summary helps you as you study! Is there a specific day you would like to explore in more detail? 🙏😇 Ref 15:9.
