Why Satan Refused to Acknowledge Jesus as Son of God

Satan and his rebellious angels adamantly refused to acknowledge Jesus Christ's exalted position as the Son of God, which ultimately led to their tragic expulsion from heaven1SG 31.3.

🌟 The Root of the Rebellion

Before his fall, Lucifer was an exalted angel, yet he allowed himself to become envious of Christ, who was one with the Father before any angels were ever createdSR 13.1. The loyal and true angels desperately sought to reconcile Lucifer to his Creator by justifying God's act of conferring honor upon JesusTA 35.2. Despite their forcible reasoning and loving entreaties, Lucifer and his sympathizers stubbornly rebelled against the authority of the SonTA 35.2+1.

It was Satan's explicit unwillingness to yield to Jesus' authority that shut him out of the courts of heaven completely1SG 31.3. To this very day, under new and deceptive disguises, the great rebel and his evil spirits continue this exact same warfare by denying the deity of Christ and attempting to place the Creator on a level with themselvesHF 338.4+1.
