  • Sign of Sanctification and Loyalty The Sabbath, as the seal of the law, is a sign that God sanctifies His people, restoring His image in them Ezekiel 20:12. Keeping the Sabbath demonstrates cooperation with God in the sanctification process and obedience to all His commandments.

  • God's Name and Authority Like a ruler's seal on a legal document, God's seal contains His name (Jehovah, the Lord thy God), His title (Creator), and the extent of His dominion (the heavens and earth). It is found uniquely within the fourth commandment, making it the only precept that explicitly identifies the Lawgiver.

The seal is placed in the foreheads of God's servants. The forehead represents the mind and intellect, indicating a conscious and decided allegiance to God's truth.

  • Those who sigh and cry for abominations Prophecy in Ezekiel 9 depicts a man with a writer's inkhorn marking those who lament over the sins and spiritual declension within the church and the land Ezekiel 9:4. These individuals actively labor to save others and do not remain silent about prevalent wickedness.

  • Obedient and Pure Only those whose hearts are right toward God, who have clean hands and a pure heart, and who demonstrate love through obedience to His commandments can receive the seal.

The sealing work ensures that God will have a people who are holy and undefiled, ready for translation into His kingdom.
