Sinless Living: Striving for Perfection Through Christ
Can we truly live a sinless life through Christ?
According to only Bible and Ellen G. White writings, might we live sinless lives, not claiming nor indulging the thought that one is perfect/sinless?

Indeed, we can live sinless lives, though we should never claim or indulge the thought that we are perfect or sinless. It is God's will for us to attain perfection of character, and through Christ's grace, this is entirely possible.
Here's why this is true:
Christ's Sinless Example 🌟
Jesus came to this world and lived a perfect, sinless life, serving as our supreme example. He took upon Himself our human nature, including its infirmities and temptations, yet He never yielded to sin. His life demonstrates what humanity, combined with divinity, can achieve. Christ’s perfect character is the inspiration for Christians, and as we behold Him, we are changed into His likeness.
As Jesus said, "I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life" John 8:12. We are called to follow in His footsteps.
God's Requirement for Perfection 🙏
God calls upon us to be perfect. He sent His only begotten Son to live a perfect life on our behalf, and the strength by which Christ lived this life is available to us. The Lord requires perfection from His redeemed family and expects us to reveal the same perfection that Christ did in His humanity.
The Bible states, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is perfect" Matthew 5:48. This high standard is not unattainable, but is reached through divine grace.
The Role of Divine Nature and Grace ✨
Through Christ, we can become partakers of the divine nature, escaping the corruption that is in the world through lust. God has made every provision for us to have abundant grace and strength to be more than conquerors in the warfare against sin. Our human efforts cooperate with divine power, and we can do "all things through Christ" Philippians 4:13.
The righteousness of Christ can be imputed to us, and through His merits, we can be accepted before God as if we had not sinned. This transformation of character, leading to blameless and pure lives, must take place during our time of probation.
Humility and Continual Growth 🌿
While we can attain sinlessness, it is crucial not to claim or boast of being sinless. Those who truly seek to perfect Christian character will never indulge the thought that they are sinless. Instead, the closer they draw to Christ's divine image, the more clearly they discern their own weakness and imperfections.
We are to continually grow in grace, perfecting Christian characters through constant watchfulness and prayer. This journey involves humbling ourselves before God and understanding that perfection of character is earned through individual effort, battling against hereditary tendencies.
As Psalm 51:10-14 beautifully expresses, "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence; and take not your holy spirit from me... Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, you God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of your righteousness."
In essence, we are called to strive for and achieve sinless lives through the power and grace of Christ, recognizing that any goodness in us comes from Him alone, and maintaining a spirit of humility and continuous growth.
