Achieving Victory Over Sin Through Christ's Indwelling Presence
Is it truly possible for humanity to live a life free from sin?
According to inspiration, found in Scripture and the writings of Ellen G. White, is it possible for each one of us to live a sin free life, a life of victory over sin, through genuine faith in the merits of a crucified and risen Savior and in the indwelling abiding presence of Jesus Christ by the agency of His own Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ?

Yes, it is entirely possible to live a sinless life of victory because Christ lived a perfect life in our humanity to demonstrate that humanity combined with divinity does not commit sin. This experience is not achieved through human effort or legalistic striving but through the indwelling of the Spirit of Christ, which is the very life of Christ in the soul. When we make an entire surrender and the truth occupies the citadel of the soul, we are crucified with Christ and He literally lives His life through us Galatians 2:20. By partaking of the divine nature, we are given the strength and virtue to overcome every tendency to evil and escape the corruption that is in the world 2 Peter 1:4. This transformation of character is the testimony the world needs to see, proving that the redeeming power of grace can work upon faulty human nature until it is made complete in Him. We must individually strive for the mastery over every sin, trusting that the weakest soul, aided by divine grace, can be more than an overcomer through an abiding Saviour.

..., we shall give evidence that we have wholly received Him who in His humanity lived a sinless life. In the strength of divinity we shall overcome every tendency to evil

Transformation of character is to be the testimony to the world of the indwelling love of Christ. When faith works by love and purifies the soul, a transformation will take place. No human being c...
