I Give Unto Them Eternal Life.
By L. E. Millne
ETERNAL life, how rich the gift,
To mortal man 'tis given;
By Christ's own precious blood 'twas bought,
Our great High Priest in Heaven. Oh, precious thought, and can I gain,
Through Christ my Lord, eternal life?
Then will I strive with all my powers,
And leave this world of sin and strife. God's holy law, I will obey,
The faith of Jesus keep,
Continue patient in the way,
Immortal life to seek. Though friends so dear do me forsake,
He stills the rising sigh,
And wipes away the bitter tear,
His coming now is nigh. Oh, priceless boon, naught can compare,
With God's own love to man,
None but a God could e'er devise
Salvation's wondrous plan. Salvation, oh salvation's free,
To all who will but come,
There's "room enough" for you and me,
In that celestial home.
