Conversion

By E. B. Melendy

E. B. MELENDY
HOLY Bible, book divine, Let thy light upon me shine. Guide my feet from darkest night Safely onward into light.
Jesus, Saviour, pity me, Thou who died upon the tree, Save me from all outward sin, Make me clean and pure within.
Jesus, hear me, ere I die, Nightly, hourly, would I cry, Save me, Jesus, by thy blood; Wash me in the cleansing flood!
Jesus, thou alone art mine, I would be, Lord, only thine; Cleanse me now, O Lord, I plead, Cleanse me wholly and indeed!
O I thank thee, blessed Lord, That at last thy grace I’ve heard. Make me ever true to thee, I would thine, thine only, be.
