The Invitation to Calvary

“It is our weakness that gives us our right to pray; it is our sin, rightly comprehended, that is our letter of introduction to the cross. Righteous men, snow-covered men, away! ye have no invitation to Calvary. ‘This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.’ 1 Tim. 1:15. Said the Saviour, ‘I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.’ Luke 5:31, 32.”
