Roman Catholic.—On the evening of the 7th of December, the Pope signed the bull convening the universal episcopate for an ecumenical council, to assemble at Rome on Dec. 8, 1868. This bull, which bears the date of Dec. 8, exactly one year before the appointed day of meeting, will be disseminated without delay.
