THE illustrations in this issue which deal with the different phases of gospel work have been furnished by our own representatives in the various fields, and represent work actually being done by Seventh-day Adventist missionaries. It seems necessary to state this fact in order to guard against the misapprehension that we have drawn from other sources in order to make a more favorable showing. Some illustrations of a general character have been used for the sake of variety, and to aid the reader in obtaining a more intelligent idea of the mission fields.
