WORTHIE HARRIS HOLDEN
ONE more ship in the harbor With its cargo of gold or of dross: One more pennant declaring The service of sin or the cross: One more ledger completed; And what does the Auditor say? Treasures the past year assembled, Or ruthlessly trifled away?
One more ship is departing To sail on the sea of the year; One more pennant lies waiting A symbol inscribed to uprear; One more ledger is opened, Unwritten, unblemished, and new. Who will your vessel commission, Accounting each ledger page true?
