SAN FERNANDO.—We are progressing nicely on the church building here in San Fernando, and have already held two services in it. We laid the corner-stone on April 9, and finished the roof just one month later. A little over twenty-five dollars was received at the corner-stone laying.
Two new ones have begun the observance of the Sabbath this month, in the face of much opposition, and are rejoicing in the truth. A class of six is now studying for baptism.
All the churches are growing in thispart of the island, and we believe brighter days are in store for all our people.
I am glad to report that at present I am feeling much better than for some time past. Though working very hard, I have been gaining in flesh.
We know that God is leading in his work here. We are willing to trust him.
L. E. WELLMAN.
