ARRIVAL IN OAKLAND.

IN company with Elder Corliss, wife and adopted daughter, we left Battle Creek Thursday morning, February 24, at 1 A. M., and arrived in Oakland Tuesday, March 1, just as this paper was going to press. "As iron sharpeneth iron, so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend." This we found to be literally true as we met the cheerful countenances of those from whom we had been separated for a few months. We can truly say we are glad we are here, and are of good courage in the Lord. We are also glad that Eld. Corliss is with us. He also is of good courage in the Lord.
We have never had more confidence in the prosperity of the cause on the Pacific Coast, and in the mission of the SIGNS OF THE TIMES, than at the present time. We hope, with the hearty co-operation of our friends, and by the blessing of God, to take advance steps the coming season that will be in harmony with the ever advancing movements of the third angel's message.
