ALL OF ONE MIND.

From the “Sabbath-School Worker,” Oakland.
“Those who are thinking of purchasing new books for their Sabbath-schools will find the new book, ‘Christ in Song,’ by F. E. Belden, admirably suited to their needs. It contains more than three times the number of songs found in ordinary Sunday-school song-books, while the price is no higher. All the old favorites and the choicest selections from the new books are to be found in it. We take pleasure in recommending it. Order of Review and Herald, Battle Creek, Mich.”
From the “Signs of the Times,” Oakland, Cal.
“One of the important parts of worship is song. Inspiration has recognized this, not only in the book of Psalms, but in various places in the Holy Word. Five things are requisite to meet popular needs in a good Christian song-book. First of all, the hymns should express truth; there should be sufficient variety; the music should generally be simple; there should be enough of the old, old songs; and the collection should be reasonably cheap. Is there a book which combines all these features? There was not one, but there is one now; and the only one we know of. It is entitled ‘Christ in Song Hymnal.’ . . . This book contains over 700 of the best hymns, new and old. It is arranged in four parts: (1) Invitation and Repentance; (2) Consecration and Praise; (3) Work and Trust; (4) Home and Heaven. It contains 414 pages. For the writer of this note, five words express his idea and appreciation of the book—It is the best yet. And its price is reasonable. Flexible cloth, 35 cents, paper-covered boards, 40 cents; canvas-covered boards, 50 cents; half morocco, $1.00. Address, Review and Herald, Battle Creek, Mich., or it may be obtained from this office.”
From Dr. E. J. Waggoner, Editor “Present Truth,” London, England.
I have given the new book, “Christ in Song,” a somewhat careful examination; and can say that, taking into consideration what you have omitted from it, as well as what you have included, it is by far the best hymn book ever published by Seventh-day Adventists. As soon as the necessary arrangements can be made with the publishers, we shall introduce it here in this field, and shall recommend it to all our companies for both Sabbath-school and general use.
From Kate L. Macey, Sec. and Treas. Michigan Sabbath-School Association.
“The new songs for the little ones are excellent. It is truly a book that will meet the needs of Sabbath-schools and young people’s societies especially.”
