Applying Sound Principles to Bible Study
By Editor
THE sound principles set forth in the article on the first page of this issue should be applied by each one of us in his own experience with the Bible. It is just as important for us to accept all the truth which is revealed to us in the Bible as for others to do so, and it is just as wrong for us to hold to views of the Scripture which have been shown to be contrary to the truth as it is for others to do so. In studying the Scriptures, we should not ask, “What have we usually been taught on this subject?” but, “What is the truth?” With this attitude toward the Bible, we may expect new revelations of truth to be made constantly; and if what we have learned in the past is the truth, these new revelations will be the old truths in a fuller and more glorious unfolding.
