Kentucky and Tennessee T. and M. Society.

The Tennessee division of this society convened at Edgefield Junction, April 20, 1879. Meeting opened with prayer by the president. On account of high water the quarterly meeting of the Kentucky division was postponed until May 25, 1879, at 8 A. M. Prayer by the vice-president. Interesting letters were read at each meeting, which shows that an encouraging religious interest is being awakened by the efforts of our society.
The following is a summary of the labor performed during the quarter:—
Number of members, 46; reports returned, 16; new members, 1; families visited, 27; letters written, 55; Signs taken in clubs, 21; subscribers obtained for periodicals, 46; pages pamphlets loaned, 1,090; pages tracts given away, 7,902; periodicals distributed, 1,804; annuals sold and given away, 185. Total receipts, $117.30.
Remarks made by Eld. Osborn were encouraging, and were appreciated by all.
