God’s Faithfulness in Trials

WHILE a man serves God and faithfully performs his duty, no real harm can befall him. He may be persecuted, he may be afflicted, and in a great many ways, he may be severely tried, but while he is true to God, God will be true to him, and all things shall work together for his good. He may not be able to understand how this will be, but he knows that “God is faithful, who has promised, who also will do it,” and on the divine faithfulness he rests in full assurance and hope.—Sel.
