OSAWKEE, KANSAS.

SINCE my last report I have been laboring in this place. At first there was a good interest, but the enemy got in and prejudiced the minds of the people before I had time to get our positions before them. The Dunkards became frightened for fear some of their members would accept of the Sabbath, and sent to Nebraska for a minister to show up Sunday. He came, and pitched the law overboard as the old covenant, as he termed it. I asked him what sin was. He said it was the transgression of the law. I asked him what law. He said, The law of God. He also took the position that the law and the prophets were until John; then Christ abolished the law. I reviewed him. Some of the most influential families in the place have taken their stand on the side of truth. Bro. Cook, Ayers, Sharp, and Morrison are here now—all in new fields.
