“I am the resurrection and the life.”—Jesus.
EBY.— Sister Hannah A. Eby died at 1150 Grand River Ave., Detroit, Mich., Jan. 1, 1902, aged 63 years, 2 months, 26 days. She leaves a husband and two daughters, who wait for the hope of the first resurrection. Sister Eby was a faithful member of the Detroit church. Her oldest daughter, who is now in Australia, is Mrs. Dr. Kress, who is well known to many of the readers of the Review. Words of consolation were spoken by the writer, based upon Luke 21:18. E. K. Slade.
CORNELL.— Died in Colby, Wash., Dec. 22, 1901, of heart failure, Hiram Cornell, aged 77 years. The deceased was born in New York. For several years he was engaged in teaching, and for seven years was at the head of a large educational institution. In 1880 he lost his eyesight, so that for twenty years he has been blind. He accepted the truth twelve years ago, and died in the blessed hope. Five sons and two daughters, together with the sorrowing wife, survive him. Words of comfort were spoken by the writer, from John 11:33–35. H. C. J. Wollekar.
