The American Protestant

THE AMERICAN PROTESTANT is the title of a paper published in Boston, Mass., which has now reached its twelfth number. It is designed to rouse the people to the necessity of arising as one man to resist the insidious encroachments of popery upon the rights of man, and the institutions of our free government. This is a point Protestants may well look to. Lafayette said, “If ever the liberty of this Republic is destroyed, it will be by Roman priests.”
