So frail am I, so sinful, too, How shall I walk the journey through? Is best my own, Or the appointed way, As hastens on the dawning day?
Shall I court the world to save a friend? Or all my powers to Jesus lend, And trust his grace, His pure and matchless love, To seal my prayer in Heaven above?
Be this my thought: like Esther meek, What is appointed only seek, There favor find, Of man, and heavenly King; For Jesus will salvation bring.
