The vote on the question of keeping the Exposition open on Sunday, was as follows, by States: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, South Carolina, and Washington Territory voted aye; and Arizona, Connecticut, Dakota, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin voted nay.
