North Pacific Mission.

Our tent meeting in Dallas, Polk Co., Oregon, has now been in progress a little more than two weeks. The interest has been increasing from the beginning. Yesterday, June 3, we had three good meetings with apparent good results. The congregations were larger than at any previous time during our meetings. I believe the blessing of God is attending the word. We expect that a small company of commandment keepers will be raised up who will represent the cause of present truth in this place.
We have traced down most of the lines of prophecy with good effect, and are now examining the third angel's message, law, and Sabbath questions. The people seem to receive these subjects well. Some books are taken, showing a disposition on their part to investigate.
Last Friday, June 1, I left the tent in the care of Bro. Jones, and went to Salem to spend the Sabbath. We enjoyed a blessed season with the Salem church. The Sabbath-school at 10 o'clock was interesting and well attended. We spoke to them at 11 o'clock with our usual freedom on the signs, troubles and perils of the last day. All felt the need of getting nearer the Lord that they might have his protection in time of danger.
At the close of the discourse the way was opened for all who wished to unite with the church to come forward. Five readily responded. One of these, a Catholic lady of intelligence, was baptized. The church now numbers thirty-two. They are preparing to enter into the T. and M. work and will be ready to organize a society in a few weeks. May the Lord speed on the work.
