Strength Equal to Present Duty

You may pray for greater strength for greater duties, but your present strength is equal to your present duty. Your duty will be increased when, greater strength comes. You may see before you some desirable object of accomplishment, and may know your inability to accomplish it. While your strength remains unequal to the task it cannot be your duty to accomplish it, but you may pray God to give you strength to do it, and if, in answer to your prayer, needed strength comes, it may be your duty to go on and accomplish the work.—Wayside.
