Thy Cloud That Meets Me

By George Matheson

Thy cloud that meets me in the day Is but the shadow of thy wing, Concealing from my sight the way, That faith alone may homeward bring.
Thy fire that meets me in the night, Is the full brightness of thy face, Revealing through my tears a light That leads me to thy dwelling-place.
— George Matheson.
